"We have followed Marie's work for quite a while and in addition to finding it to be masterfully executed, we have always found that her "head-on and in your face approach" and her striking selection of models makes for the kind of strong and unforgettable images that we are always looking to add to our collection."

-Howard Tullman, the Tullman Collection, Chicago

Why do I collect paintings by Marie Vlasic? There are several reasons.

1) The quality of her paintings is superb. She is a gifted and talented artist.

2) I like the subjects of her paintings and how she is able to express the personality of the person depicted. I collect portraits and paintings of exceptional/unusual persons. Her paintings of tattooed fits perfectly my criteria. She never shows the person as a freak but as an strong individual with all his/her emotions. I like her other portraits as each person is shown as a character with individuality. When I look at her paintings I feel like I see a real person.

  -R. Swoboda, Collector

In my collection of portraits of women by women artists, Marie Vlasic's paintings are truly distinctive.  Her subjects are sometimes odd, often somewhat kinky, but always beautiful.  It's this unique combination, which I find so intriguing, that keeps me collecting Marie's work.

“On a scale of 10 the painting is a 25.  Everyone loved it. I looked at the six pictures Bonnie sent you and compared them to the final product; the creativity you did in making everyone whole, was amazing. The detail is beyond words. Again, amazing job.”

D. Heiman, Portrait Commission
